To renew in person at a service centre you’ll need::
• your licence renewal notice (if it’s available)
• your NSW driver licence card
• your contact lenses or glasses (if you wear them)
• your method of payment
• the PDF form – ‘Licence Renewal Application’.
Online
Eligible customers can renew their licence online for up to 5 years using their existing photo. The new licence will be issued by post within 10 business days and you’ll print an interim licence for use in the meantime.
Eligibility
To be eligible for online renewal, you must:
• have completed a health and safety test
• hold an unrestricted licence
• had your signature and photograph taken by Roads and Maritime within 10.5 years before the new licence expires
